Weekly Assembly

Week 8

14 - 18 December 2020

Welcome

The SLT or any educator who is conducting the assembly will address the students positively saying good morning to all. One can start this assembly with the sign of the cross: "In the name of the Father, and of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen"

Introduction

This morning we are going to start by listening to the prayer these two are making and we are going to join them and make this prayer ours too! You can follow the wording of the prayer here:

The Black Eyed Peas - Where Is The Love (Cover by Ni/Co)

Reflective Thought

“Father, Father, Father, help us. Send some guidance from above 'Cause people got me, got me questionin' Where is the love?” This was our prayer this morning.

Love is passed on from generation to generation as a gift, through our actions to and for others. Love knows no race, no gender, no social status, no political and religious beliefs.

We have the ability to share God’s love at times even without much effort and thinking through simple acts of kindness, listening to a friend in need and/or respecting each other’s dignity. Love chose a manger and even this Christmas it is choosing the manger of our hearts.

Prayer

Our dear God you who loved the world so much please give us the wisdom and the courage so that during the Christmas Time and always we will let your love be known in all that we think, say or do. Amen.

Conclusion

Depending on your school community you can end this assembly with this video.
